Opportunity?

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.  Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

I keep thinking of these verses in light of the overwhelming series of natural disasters the last few months.  It seems like every week…sometimes every day…we’re greeted with pictures of another earthquake, another devastating tornado, more flooding, more people in need of…everything.  It’s difficult to know where to even begin.  It’s difficult to know how to “do good to everyone”?  How is that even possible?

I honestly don’t have the answer…but I know this.

God is in control. (He is surprised by none of this!)

We should never give up on doing good-even in overwhelming circumstances.

If we don’t quit, we’ll someday reap a great reward of blessing.

Every storm…every disaster…every co-worker or family member with a devastating problem is-

An OPPORTUNITY for great blessing.  (for both us AND those we serve)

I’m praying for wisdom and strength for everyone faced with tremendous opportunity.
