Yesterday, as coverage of the rescue of the trapped Chilean miners was covered worldwide, it reminded me of these words of Jesus:

” In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”   (Luke 15:10 NLT)

Every single one of us matter to God.  Every time a fellow trapped miner choses the perilous journey in the rescue cylinder, over the certain-death-that-somehow-seems-safer of life trapped underground…the angels celebrate in heaven.  Every time.

 Our mission as a church should be to leave NO ONE behind.
