Sunday Recap: At the movies Horton style…

HHW-059

Had a really great time this week hanging out with Horton in the at the movies series.  Whether you believe it or not we live on a “speck”.  Not a “speck on a clover held by a talking elephant”  but a speck  none the less.   The truth is the truth no matter how strange.  If the truth is (as I and other followers of Jesus believe) that Jesus who was alive, then was born, then died, and is still alive and coming back…we should do something about it.  No matter how strange it might sound!  If you are a follower of Jesus your responsibility is the same as the “Mayor of Who-ville”.  Our one “job” given to us by our savior is to humbly persuade others that he is indeed “real” and that our world is in serious danger… even if everyone thinks you are a “boob”  :-)

We were hitting on all cylinders this week.  Josiah and Ryan handled tech in their amazing way…”Mr. Mac book pro” made the graphics look amazing. They kicked me out of set up for poor cord rolling the previous week… so I walked around the block and prayed that God would help me do a better job on my “one thing” on Sunday morning…talking about elephants etc.

…Really excited to announce that we will have a tent out a Purple Door festival.  Garrett and Company are going to be a GREAT introduction to actionchurch for a lot of music loving folks that don’t even know a place like a/c exists!

Speaking of music…Sweet mother of all that is rock’nroll…Failure2xl is a really great band.  I am pumped that they have signed with 315 so that we will be seeing them often in the future.  These guys love Jesus and make some seriously sweet noise!

Next week is going to be crazy with children 18:3 and “Marley and Me”…believe it or not I think that is actually a good combination.    Rent the movie, invite your friends to actionchurch next week…and we’ll find out together.

My parents were in the house Sunday…It was really funny when the countdown started to rush them to their seats and make sure they had their earplugs in and seatbelts on like they were preparing to fly the space shuttle.   They seemed to enjoy the ride…but then parents are always kind …

Great week…as always…thanks to everyone that sets up, tears down, makes coffee, loves actionkidz, makes things pretty, makes things loud…you are the reason that there is a place like actionchurch in York PA!
