Photo Display

This Sunday during the final announcements we had a bit of a glitch in our keynote display.  Suddenly, instead of displaying the final announcement slides, we began to see a slideshow of Josiah’s personal iCloud photo stream on the giant movie screen.  Fortunately for Josiah (and us ;-) all that was displayed was a few random family photos and a really wonderful photo of his wife, Rachel, in her wedding dress.   No awkward selfies.  No shirtless beach photos. No baby’s first bath.

However, even as I sprinted up the steps to disconnect the runaway Mac that was sharing all of Josiah’s personal moments with the entire church, I couldn’t help but chuckle and think of these words from Jesus:

“The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. 3 Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!” -Jesus  (Luke 12:2-3)

I’m not sure how that works in the coming judgement…but putting EVERYONE’S photos on a giant screen would be a pretty awesome (and terrifying) start. Makes me want to check my attitude, my words, AND my photo stream. :-)

How about you?
