It does make you think though…so many things at church that seem so “normal” and “traditional” to us, things we think “everyone” knows, can certainly make someone from the outside feel (and look) really stupid. No matter how “contemporary”(whatever that means) our churches are I think we should avoid “unspoken rules” and traditions that make outsiders uncomfortable when they don’t know what to do.
