This Sunday @ actionchurch

gimme
We’re officially kicking off the Holiday season this Sunday at actionchurch with some answers you’ve been looking for.  We may not know how to get your family to leave the football game for the dining room, or how to tactfully let cousin Todd know that “yes we do mind if you bring your dogs to dinner and stay ’til…uhhh…like maybe Saturday sometime”.   We may NOT be able to tell you how to get that weird stuffing-goo off the turkey platter after it dries, or tell you where to hide the last pie so you can enjoy leftovers later…but we do have some answers from the Bible that you’ve been wondering about as the holiday season approaches.

Studies show that grateful people are happier, regardless of their circumstances, and that “ungrateful” is consistently ranked as one of the most undesirable traits in others.   In short:  Grateful people are happy people, and people are happy to have grateful people around!  In spite of these facts…and our desire to be grateful this holiday season…it’s often difficult to “feel grateful”…and even harder to actually “BE grateful”.  This Sunday we’ll look at a Parable of Jesus and talk about 3 things that STILL rob us of our gratitude…and the solution that we can learn from the example of Jesus!

This Sunday we’ll also give you 3 opportunities to help and serve people in our area who are having difficult times this holiday season, and we’ve  got some new music planned for you from our musical guest Vitruvia as well.  You can also look forward to all the “normal” food and fun that makes actionchurch anything but a “normal” Sunday morning at church! It all starts at 10:30am at Frank Theaters Queensgate (DIRECTIONS), and as usual, the actionkidz crew has a fantastic hour of learning and fun planned for your kids (infant to 6th grade) as well.
