This month at actionchurch as we began the “POWERDOWN initiative” we’ve been learning about how Jesus started the powerful movement we now know as the church, by empowering others instead of gathering power for himself.  It’s been an interesting journey to say the least.  In the last three weeks we’ve celebrated actionchurch’s Fifth birthday, eaten cupcakes, talked about Fat cats, Q-tips, Wise Serpents, Harmless Doves, and discussed several seemingly contradictory directions Jesus had for his apprentices (disciples) at length.  (If you missed a week, the podcasts are here)  All of that lead up to this week, as we reveal what our focus will be be for the NEXT five years as a church…and guess what…it probably involves you!

We’ve got a gift for everyone attending Sunday, and The Ben Rothermel Band will be playing some great new music for us as well.  actionkidz also has another great week planned kicking off a brand new “Good News” teaching series.  As always there will also be loads of yummy Maple Donuts, Muffins, Bagels, Hot Coffee, water, and great actionchurch people to hang with.   It all starts at 10:30 am at Frank Theaters Queensgate (Directions).
