This Sunday @ actionchurch

This Sunday is the final week of this years “At the Movies” sermon series.   Up to this point, we’ve learned about what it takes to change your life from a movie about buying a zoo in week one.  We’ve learned about repentance from a movie about a losing baseball team featuring lots of spitting and grainy baseball footage.  Last week we even learned about free will and original sin from Romans Chapter 8 and a mythical creature called a  Lorax.  (And if you were there…we also learned a really catchy song that seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to stop humming!)  So, what can you learn from one of this years biggest blockbusters, based on a story of teenagers locked in an arena and forced to fight each other to the death?  (And no,  parents of teenagers who “know” everything but can never quite remember that you told them to be home by 11:30, this is NOT a good alternative to grounding)  :-)    What can we possibly learn from the Hunger Games?   In church?  From the Bible?  You’ll have to be there Sunday to find out…

If you’d like to meet actionchurch folk and watch the Hunger Games with them, we still have space available with folks who have opened their homes to host “watching” parties.  (Info HERE)

This week will also feature some great music from Divine Air, an hour of excitement and learning for your kids in actionkidz, and of course more yummy, buttery, movie popcorn.

It all starts at 10:30 am at Frank Theaters Queensgate (Directions).   Come earlier to enjoy  Coffee, Maple Donuts, bagels, and Muffins with the friendly folks of actionchurch.
