Every day the news is filled with disturbing stories of  financial turmoil: housing forclosures, job losses, people protesting, entire cities (and countries) falling into bankrupcy.  As uncomfortable as it may be to hear such news, it’s clear that financial matters play a HUGE role in our contentment and happiness.

This Sunday as we continue to learn the secret of living contented and happy lives in the “First World Problems” series,  we will be reading and learning from what Jesus taught about money and “stuff”.  As with most of the words of Jesus: some will make you want to cheer, some will surprise you, others will make you uncomfortable, but ALL are still COMPLETELY applicable to the financial mess we find our world in 2000+ years later!
