No "account" needed…

I hate shopping so I try to order most important purchases online.  If everything goes “smoothly” it saves a lot of time and effort.  The problem is when things don’t go so “smoothly”…when you need to talk to someone…more specifically someone who knows about your transaction and has the ability to answer your questions.

It usually goes something like this:

Me:  Hello, I’m calling because…blah, blah, blah…

Them:  May I have your account number?

Me:  It’s 1 3 4 7 niner, 5 6

Them:  I don’t have anything under that account number, what is your name?

Me:  I just dug through my trash can to find the reciept with the account number.

Them:  Your name?  Address?  Phone Number?  What Item did you purchase?

Me:  (Sullenly)  My name is  Blah, Blah, address….

Them:  Why did you call today?

Me:  As I said when you answered the phone I need to know…

Them:  I’ll transfer you to someone in customer service.

(looooonggggg wait)

New customer service “them”:   Hello sir, what is your account number?

Me:  (desperate urge to shoot myself in the head!)

Here’s the Good news.  God actually knows who we are when we pray!

Check out this verse….  (psalms 139:16)

16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
   Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

No “account number” needed.  He knows all about us.  He has all  our “information”.  He’s ready to hear us when we call…and he will never transfer us to customer service.
