This is a VERY special week on the actionchurch calendar. Most Fridays on the blog we preview what will be happening at actionchurch for 1 hour on Sunday mornings. This week, you have 72 HOURS filled with opportunities to love God, love people, and take action with your actionchurch “framily”!
Fri-Sat (6/20-21)
From Friday noon until Saturday noon, we’ll be meeting and serving at the York County School of Technology (Queen Street) for this years American Cancer Society RELAY FOR LIFE. As a church, we’ll pack 24 hours with serving by providing and staffing a children’s area, Sit-down catered dinner for 400 cancer survivors and caretakers, free shaved ice and popcorn stand, free overnight Starbucks coffee bar, and then top it off by providing and serving a free hot breakfast to all Relay participants on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we’ll pack it all up, get a few blissful hours of sleep, and meet back at Frank Theaters Queensgate to celebrate and compare scrapes, blisters and other Relay “battle scars”.
Sunday 6/22
In all seriousness though, you will not want to miss Sunday morning as we celebrate God’s goodness, and the generosity and service of so many actionchurchers over the previous 48 hours. We’ll also continue the “NAMELESS” sermon series and learn from another un-named but fascinating person who demonstrates WHY we serve at events such as Relay for Life. We’ve also got some great music planned from “The Revived”, and a video for the big screen starring…ALL OF YOU who serve at the event! The actionkidz crew has a great hour planned for your kids, and of course we’ll also have the “typical” fun, food, and actionchurch folks that make Sunday mornings at actionchurch anything BUT typical… Make sure to get yourself, the men in your life, (and a FRAMILY member or three) ***HERE*** to Frank Theaters Queensgate at 10:30 this Sunday Morning.
