Sunday @ actionchurch

the-moment.011

This Sunday is the final week of “The Moment” series, but even if you haven’t heard any of the other sermons about the story of Ezra, you won’t want to miss this one.  This week we’ll talk about “work” (something that is mentioned countless times in the book of Ezra).  In an amazing “Moment of Grace”, God moved a pagan king’s heart to allow the people of Israel to be freed from their slavery in Babylon, and return to their homes and rebuild their temple.  God even provided all the funding and materials for the job!  What he didn’t provide was labor.  The people of Israel had to work…a lot.   This week we’ll talk about the work that comes along with a moment of grace.  We’ll learn what counts as “God’s work”, what to expect when doing “God’s work”, and even what to do when “God’s work” isn’t going exactly how we planned.  I look forward to sharing some things from our experiences over the last two years that I believe will be helpful to everyone.

This sunday will also feature some great new music from the Go Around,  and you’ll hear an update about this years exciting plans to serve in HUGE ways at York’s Relay for Life.  We’ll have this years actionchurch T-shirts for sale (all proceeds help fund our Relay for life efforts), and actionkidz will be starting a brand new episode of the “What’s in the Bible” Series.  As always there will also be loads of yummy Maple Donuts, Muffins, Bagels, Hot Coffee, water, and great actionchurch people to hang with.   It all starts at 10:30 am  at Frank Theaters Queensgate (Directions).
