Sunday @ actionchurch

This week at actionchurch we’ll continue to talk about the MOST important message we could possibly share in these final weeks of the political season.

Everyone, (even democrats and republicans!) agree that many things in our world are broken and need to be fixed.  I’ve yet to hear an ad saying “Everything’s perfect…we don’t need to change a thing…vote for NO CHANGE in November…let’s keep things exactly as they are”.   Instead, EVERYONE is arguing for their particular “brand” of how to fix our broken world in the future.  Since the final moments Jesus walked the earth after his resurrection from the dead, his followers have been impatiently asking:  Lord, when are YOU going to set things right here on earth?  When are you returning?  When are you going to FIX IT?

This week we’ll deal with one of the thorniest questions followers of the God of the Bible deal with:  What happens if we DO trust God to handle the future?  If God is all-powerful and has already decided the future, what does it matter whether we trust him or not?  I think the answers from the life of Isaiah will surprise you…I certainly was surprising to me as I read them.

This week Skyhawk Drive will be joining us a musical guest for the very first time, and actionkidz has another great week planned in their “What’s in the Bible” teaching series.    As always there will also be loads of yummy Maple Donuts, Muffins, Bagels, Hot Coffee, water, and great actionchurch people to hang with.   It all starts at 10:30 am at Frank Theaters Queensgate (Directions).   Be there…and bring someone(s)!
