This month during the “At the movies” series, we’ve been talking about life change. In week one we learned some valuable lessons about what it takes to start a new life from 2 Corinthians 5 and “We bought a zoo”. Last week we learned what true repentance looks like from “MoneyBall” and the seventh chapter of 2 Corinthians. This Sunday I can’t wait to show you what it is to live in “freedom” from scripture and a mythical creature called a Lorax…
Maybe it’s all the reading and thinking I’ve been doing about Life change this month, or maybe it’s because my parents have been visiting this week. (They’ve been married well past 53+ years. They’ve collectively been following Jesus for nearly 120 years…that’s 60+ years each…they’re not hobbits.) :-) I keep thinking about this quote attributed to Bill Gates and I wanted to share it. Whether you’re a Mac or PC I think it contains a great insight into living a changed life…one that lasts…one that matters.
“Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” -Bill Gates
Don’t Quit. Don’t Give up. You have no idea what you could accomplish if you would only leverage 20 seconds of courage into a lifetime of commitment.
