Q.  When and Where?    Relay 2009 is taking place June 12-13th at The York School of Technology (vo-tech)  on Queen St. by 1-83.  (I like to think of it as just up the street from the Cracker Barrel)  The

Q.  What time?    The event kicks off at 4pm on Friday afternoon and ends at 4 PM rain or shine.

Q.  What should I wear?   If you have an actionchurch T- please wear it for the team.

Q.  What should I bring?   Comfy shoes.  Sunblock.  A chair. ( The actionchurch tent will be in the center of the track…but we have a limited number of chairs.)   A Jacket if you’re walking at night. 

Q.   When do the walkers walk the track?   Someone from team actionchurch will be on the track for all 24 hrs of the event… so thanks for walking… 

Q.  How is actionchurch contributing to the event?   As  a church we purchased the actionchurch t-shirts and are donating all $12 of each shirt sold to Relay for Life ($800+) so far.  The final shirts will be on sale at the event.  actionchurch is also paying for the rental of the Inflatable bouncy house things for the kids of relay on Saturday.   We will also be providing ice for the Shaved Ice stand that is being generously provided by the  Fife family (the stand is run on a no charge/donation to Relay basis during the event). 

Q.   What can I do to contribute?   Ask friends to sponsor you as you walk at Relay.   Bring a donation to Relay for Life.  Help staff the childrens area or the Shaved Ice stand.   Help Set up or tear down the event.   There are still lot’s of opportunities available.  Remember…our efforts are to Bless Relay for Life…not to raise funds for actionchurch!

Q.   Will I have Fun?   Oh yeah!  You will get to meet people…hang out…enjoy good food (try the chicken BBQ)…serve others…hear a great Band.    (ac all-stars will be on stage 8pm to 9 Friday evening!)
