My name is James Reaves and I live in a leaning White House. I have been married to my hott wife for 9 1/2 years. We have 4 children….I’ll let that sink in…4 kids 7 and under…We are in the beginning stages of starting a church called “The Bridge”, which will be meeting in Hagerstown, Maryland. We want to be a church that “Connects faith with everyday life” through relationship building and relevant teaching. We want to reach people that are either not churched, sick of church, or have been burned by church.
So now here I am hanging out with Action Church on a Sunday morning. Tomorrow we continue the series “A brand new Mii”. We are going to look at the story of a person who was an outcast in their respective society. This person tried to fix all of their problems by themselves and in doing so their condition worsened. Then 2 of the most powerful words in scripture happen….BUT JESUS. Have you ever screwed something up and then tried to fix it yourself? If you are anything like me, the problem becomes worse. And then I get to a place where I come to the end of my rope and then I get uber frustrated, which only adds to the problem.
I’m looking forward to hanging out with everyone on Sunday. Thanks for allowing me to serve you guys. I’m looking forward to seeing what God wants to do with Action Church.

I’m interested in learning more about James’ church in Hagerstown, like how long til it opens. I actually moved to the Harrisburg area from Hagerstown, MD. So I’d definitely wanna check it out when it opens!!
I just wanted to say that is was awesome to be a part of the action church experience this past Sunday. You guys rock!!
Right now our opening day for “The Bridge” is October 4, 2009. We have a lot of work to do between now and then so please pray for us and the people that we are going to reach.
