Reagan (5) and I were watching one of her cartoons earlier this week when I flipped past an old Tom and Jerry episode on Cartoon Network. I stopped and said “let me show you a ‘good’ cartoon from when Daddy was a little boy”. …of course she loved the “cute little mouse and the mean cat”. …of course she wants to tivo all of the old episodes and watch them. What I didn’t remember is that the “cute little mouse and mean cat” smoke, drink, light each other on fire…and shoot each other with pistols. (Itchy and Scratchy “old school”). Maybe the “good old days” weren’t as “good” as we remembered…
