It’s amazing how things can change in a year. I noticed on a news archive page this morning that the “most important” and numerous news stories of October 2007 were about Britney Spears… I remember being annoyed at the time by all of the stories about her…today I would be kinda happy if the news was filled with stories of misbehaving pop stars instead of stock market plunges and gloomy economic scenarios.
It’s impossible to predict the future. Impossible to prevent “bad news” from happening. The real question is whether we will spend our lives being tossed around on the “waves” of situations that are beyond our control…or anchored to the one who is in control.
