God's will….

I’m in the midst of finishing the sermon for Sunday about being “unsure”…and at the same time considering some really exciting (but also “scary”) possibilities for actionchurch… These two things have definitely got my mind full of questions about “God’s will”…

  • Can we be absolutely sure of God’s plan at any point in time?
  • Is God’s Plan for us “one master plan” or is it more flexible like GPS? (basically an infinite number of routes to an end…provided you chose to follow the map from where ever you are…?)
  • Is there “one” perfect plan for us…and then many “secondary” plans that are the result of our “missing” the original plan???
  • How can we be sure…?

Google has 403,000 listings for “knowing God’s will” and I’m pretty sure that’s not nearly enough! Anyone who is a follower of Jesus will be unsure at some point about exactly what God’s plan…or the much more ominous sounding “God’s Will” is.

The Good news is that “God Specializes in using unlikely, unsure people to do undeniable acts of greatness!” Stay tuned for more on Sunday.
