“Slacking off like a bum, I’m feeling’ ho hum. I’m feelin’ luke warm like the water in my tub Started out and we was hot, looked up and now we’re not. We had that fire like we was boilin’ in a pot”                                                     Toby Mac – Catchafire (Whoopsi Daisy)

I know that there are some of you out there that claim you like winter.  Those of you with adventurous natures and perky dispositions want us normal people to believe that there is some benefit to sleet and freezing rain.  But, even if for some completely ridiculous reason you do actually happen to like winter – I don’t know anyone who doesn’t truly LOVE spring.

It’s the time of year when the sunshine is pleasantly warm on your shoulders.  It’s the season where you can practically smell the grass growing.   It’s that day when you can’t keep your kids’ shoes on their feet – and you can’t wait to join them running around barefoot! Spring is the time when all things begin again….new life…fresh starts…a reason to rejoice! Spring – obviously is my favorite time of the year.

Discovering your niche in the body of Christ is like feeling the difference between winter and spring for the first time.  We simply aren’t happy when we are dormant.  God didn’t create us to lie cold and fallow.  His greatest joy is when we are alive and vibrant – when our hearts are on fire for Him!
