Well, we’re one week closer to the presidential election, and this Sunday we’ll you one more reason why you can trust God.  We’ll spend another week learning how scripture teaches us to:

Not think like everyone else thinks.

Not fear what everyone else fears.

Fear only God, and trust him to protect you.   (Inspired by Isaiah 8:11-13)

This week, however, unlike any political ad you have ever seen or heard, we’ll talk honestly about the “other side” of an issue.  This Sunday we’ll discuss how even though “not fearing what others fear” and “trusting God to protect us” are truly hopeful, helpful, and empowering  concepts, However, “Not thinking like everyone else thinks” can be really difficult…and out of the mainstream… not politically correct…even a little weird.  You will not want to miss this week episode if you have ever wondered if it is possible to be a follower of Jesus, an American, a voter, and not completely obnoxious to everyone around you. :-)

This Sunday will also feature new music from  Changing Tides, and actionkidz has another great week planned in their “What’s in the Bible” teaching series.    As always there will also be loads of yummy Maple Donuts, Muffins, Bagels, Hot Coffee, water, and great actionchurch people to hang with.   It all starts at 10:30 am at Frank Theaters Queensgate (Directions).   Be there…and bring someone(s)!
