So the ironically named three day weekend is over…and for most of us it’s back to the J-O-B.  Tuesday feels like a Monday, and there isn’t another holiday scheduled until Thanksgiving. I’ve just been reminding myself that:

1.  Work is a blessing and not a curse.

2.  As a follower of Jesus, how I work affects how everyone around me thinks about “Christians”…and more importantly-Christ.

3.  In the story of Nehemiah that we have been talking about on Sundays,  Nehemiah’s whole story hinged on the fact that he was good at his job and “found favor” with his employer.  Our work matters!

4.  Friday is technically only three days away…

Do you see any truly competent workers?They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people.
